Asheesh Concentrates International (ACI), was founded in 2018 by Darius Chenoy, Gordon Hellegers and Asheesh Antia, to further cannabis research in India; as Darius considered India and the Himalayan mountains to be the source of the world’s most unique cannabis genetics.

In 2019, ACI originated and sponsored research by partnering with the Indian Government’s Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), titled the “Identification and Selection of THC, CBD, Cannabinoid Terpene THC rich strains/lines/genotypes.”

ACI’s agreement with CIMAP is exclusive and it has required the CIMAP scientists to forage across India, including to regions that are usually inaccessible, to discover unique indigenous strains. The CIMAP laboratories conduct extensive research on the strains from seed to plant at every stage of growth to further Agro-Technological research to assess plant yield, cannabinoid and terpene content, and genotypes.

Our investment in research allows us to ensure consistency and thus efficacy of extract in keeping with FDA guidelines as CIMAP advises ACI on the efficacy of each strain. Once the seeds are stabilised ACI procures the seeds and/or cuttings of saplings we are ensured the uniformity of our biomass which in turn results in a uniform extract.
